In the years 1882-1884, the young Bronisław Piłsudski kept a diary in which he documented his daily life. He also described the customs of the Lithuanian manor of that period and conveyed the atmosphere of Polish Vilnius. The manuscript of the notes made by Piłsudski during his gymnasium years is a valuable piece of Polish literature. Stored in the collection of the Wróblewski Library of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences in Vilnius, it was published in 2021.
