Beauty of Life

Work, work, work…

POWRÓT
Beauty of Life

In Bronisław’s extensive correspondence from his numerous travels around Europe the subject of true joy of his work keeps coming up:

“It’s so good to work here. Quiet and warm place, not friendly or annoying people around, any exhausting Polish issues” [about his stay in Neuchâtel – editor’s note].

“…Today is Sunday, the only day when I let myself write letters. Each day of the week, from morning to evening, I am busy reading, taking notes and writing. How good it feels to work here!” [also about his stay in Neuchâtel – editor’s note].

”I am very pleased with my stay in Brussels. I work at the Solvay Sociological Institute – like in an enchanted scientific castle. Sometimes I am the only one here, as there is even no watchman and everybody is gone on vacation.”

“I have been in Prague for a week, the city so quiet and modest like the entire Czech nation. I go to the library and work.”

“All is well when things are right, but what if it’s simply beyond my powers to do everything? And the real, truly scientific work is so more important.”
